There are a vast amount of businesses who receive an exhaustive amount of telephone calls everyday. Call centres, help lines and customer service numbers are good examples of these types of businesses, receiving and making hundreds or even thousands of calls every hour of every day. It is therefore helpful and productive for these companies to receive a financial incentive for each and every call that they make and receive. A good method to achieve this is for clients and customers to contact the business on 0844 numbers . For every call that a business receives from a client dialling 0844, they will receive a rebate of usually around 1p per minute from a landline number. The business is not usually charged for receiving calls from a landline number, although they are charged a nominal fee to receive calls from a mobile number. The business will therefore bear the cost of the mobile call, although the customer will pay a flat rate of around 5p per minute to call from a landline number. There is a nominal fee and a monthly charge for businesses to have a 0844 number, although normally there is no long term contract involved. Faxes sent to 0844 numbers can be sent direct to the customers nominated email address, thus cutting down paper and ink costs and wastage, ideal for those green and environmentally aware businesses. There are no costs to the business to receive faxes by this method, and there is an added bonus of a round 1p per fax rebate for this method of communication.
